It is the officer who decides what to measure, not the device, as is the case with traditional radars (the laser device ensures unambiguous identification of the vehicle whose speed is being monitored at any given moment).<\/p><p>The beam width of TruSpeed is only 2.5 mrad, which allows for precise vehicle selection. This is made possible by a sighting scope with a visible laser targeting dot inside.<br \/>TruSpeed is completely safe\u2014like the entire LTI laser family\u2014for both the operator and road users.
